Test Engineer

At Brilliance RGB we are building the world's most compact and energy-efficient RGB laserchip for AR glasses, automotive and industrial applications. We're looking for a Test Engineer to take responsibility for all the measurement, validation and testing of our laserchips.

Augmented Reality glasses are the next big technology trend, and Brilliance delivers a key component to enable them: the smallest and most efficient RGB laser light engine in the world, based on integrated photonics. Working closely with tech giants, component suppliers and other partners, we are entering the next phase of system integration and scaling.

Brilliance is a start-up, but we lean on more than 20 years of technology development and IP within the Twente area. We are currently delivering prototypes to our customers while growing the company and preparing for high-volume production — a unique opportunity to join our core team at an exciting phase.

• Own the measurement, validation and testing of our RGB laserchips.
• Build up and improve test setups for optical and electrical characterisation.
• Turn measurement data into clear conclusions for the design and process teams.
• Support customer and partner projects with validation data.

• A BSc or MSc in a relevant field such as (applied) physics, electrical engineering, or similar.
• Relevant experience with optical and/or electrical measurement and test automation.
• A hands-on, data-driven mentality and the ability to take ownership.
• Broad technical interest, combining fundamental thinking with a practical, result-driven approach.
