How it works

From the box to first light

The kit is built to remove the bring-up cliff: no custom electronics, no optical alignment, no firmware to write before you can see colour. Plug in, run the app, project a frame.

01 · Unbox

Laserchip module arrives pre-mounted on a carrier for safe handling — no bare-die wire bonding.

02 · Connect

A single USB-C cable carries power, control and firmware to your host machine.

03 · Run the app

Launch the demonstrator software and the SDK takes the engine through a guided power-up.

04 · First frame

Project a full-colour test frame through the sample optic — then start integrating your own.

Why the kit

Designed to get youto first light fast

Plug-and-play

• Connect over USB-C and run the bring-up app. • Project your first full-colour frame — no custom electronics.

Full SDK & docs

• Documented host SDK and sample applications. • Complete integration notes from demo to design-in.

Engineering support

• A direct line to our photonics & firmware engineers. • Design-review sessions throughout your evaluation.

Safe handling

• Laserchip pre-mounted on an evaluation carrier. • Class 1 eye-safe operation and clear safety guidance.

Two laserchips, one bench

• Evaluate Neptune today; add Luna when it samples in 2026. • Shared driver & SDK across the platform.

What you can build

Prototype the AR you're shipping

A conceptual graphic showing a pair of glasses with a cutaway view of micro-optics and miniature projection components embedded within the frame's arm, casting a multicolored beam through a lens.

Smart glasses

Bench a full-colour engine for lightweight consumer eyewear before you commit to silicon.

A small microchip mounted on a circuit board, featuring glowing blue and green indicator lights that cast colorful light reflections.

Heads-up displays

Validate brightness and legibility for automotive and aviation HUD concepts.

A green circuit board sits next to a coin for scale, with red, green, and blue light beams extending from one edge.

Pico-projection

Prototype an embedded RGB light engine where every cubic millimetre counts.

A close-up shot of a person wearing clear-framed glasses, illuminated by glowing blue light reflections.

Waveguide & scanning

Test coupling into your own scanning or diffractive waveguide optics.
